ArtsCAP Contest Seeks Graphic Designs for CityArts/AsburyPark Logo

Asbury Park, NJ – March 29, 2010: ArtsCAP, the Arts Coalition of Asbury Park, is on the look out for the artistically inclined. The non-profit group seeks logo design submissions for its upcoming CityArts/Asbury Park festival. The logo design contest is open to professionals, amateurs and students and the winner will receive a $100 cash prize.

CityArts/AsburyPark, a weekend celebration of the arts in Asbury Park, NJ, is set for September 24-25, 2010. The festival will be a multimedia, multi-arts event featuring the work of local and national artists in all the disciplines. The city’s many non-profit arts groups, arts businesses and individual artists are expected to participate, according to ArtsCAP president, Dennis Carroll.

“CityArts/AsburyPark will be centered around an arts walk or tour from Main Street, though the downtown shopping district, south along Wesley Lake and east to the oceanfront boardwalk. It will feature art exhibitions; music, theater and dance performances; street art fair; film showings; spoken word and literary events and art installations,” said Mr. Carroll. “The festival will embrace a wide spectrum of artistic styles and media.”

The CityArts/AsburyPark logo will be featured on signage, programs and t-shirts and be displayed in a variety of media formats including print, digital and video. Contest details and design specifications are posted on the artsCAP website www.artscap.org. All entries must be submitted toinfo@artscap.org and must be received by midnight, April 30, 2010. The winner will be notified by on or before May 3, 2010. The decision of the judges will be final.

A logo unveiling event will be held in Asbury Park on May 6, 2010 to announce the winning artist and logo design. Event details including the time and location will be announced. ArtsCAP-the Arts Coalition of Asbury Park, a 501(c)3 not for profit organization, is a coalition of artists, citizens and cultural organizations dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the arts through collaboration, advocacy, and education.
